✈️ TRAVEL ADVISORY UPDATE
Effective Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 6:00 a.m. ET, TSA PreCheck and Global Entry service is suspended nationwide at all U.S. airports due to the partial Department of Homeland Security (DHS) government shutdown. This applies to all participating airports across the country.
Travelers enrolled in TSA PreCheck will be routed through standard TSA screening lanes until further notice.
What You Need to Know:
• Scope: All U.S. airports offering TSA PreCheck
• Start Time: 6:00 a.m. ET on February 22, 2026
• Reason: DHS funding lapse; personnel reassigned to general screening operations
• Duration: Indefinite — no reinstatement date has been announced
• CLEAR: Remains operational for identity verification only. Travelers will still complete standard TSA screening procedures.
Recommended Actions:
⌚ Arrive Earlier: Allow additional time for airport security.
👟 Prepare for Standard Screening: Expect to remove shoes, laptops, and compliant liquids as required. (In limited cases, TSA may provide modified screening based on ID verification notes.)
🛂 Returning to the U.S.? If you typically use Global Entry, consider enrolling in Mobile Passport Control (MPC) if available at your arrival airport. Download the MPC app in advance and complete your photo and travel details prior to landing to help expedite entry.
